Click here to read the full story >> FriendFeed seems to be a fascinating combination of a.) an aggregation tool bringing information in from all around the web, b.) a big public conversation and c.) a publishing tool for original content.
The FriendFeed service pulls in data from all the different social networks you tell it that you participate in, allowing your FriendFeed friends to see and discuss your activities on those networks whether they happen to participate in them or not.
FriendFeed also has a new messaging options somewhat akin to Twitter, which are exposed through a clever, powerful new posting box at the top of the page. Keyboard shortcuts allow for quickly creation of new posts, and you can now send a post to specific users (a private "Direct Message," just like on Twitter) and/or groups that you belong to.
