Click here to read the full story >> Internet users across China are unable to access the video sharing website YouTube from Monday 23rd March. The reasons for the block is still unknown with few stories going around. Although Google informed they are working as quickly as possible to restore access but did not specify what those steps might be.

So one can expect some time before things turn normal. So I thought of sharing some simple working hacks to access YouTube from China.

vTunnel
: Provides an in-browser proxy solution to access YouTube behind any firewall and watch videos.

FreedomStick: The site is basically a collection of pre-installed software that can be mounted on any USB flash drive and can be used to bypass any sort of firewall.

FreeGate: This is an anti-censorship client software for a secure and faster internet. Users access web sites overseas as fast as their local ones. It requires no installation or change in system setting.

Hi there,

Recently I am relocated to Shanghai and had big issue accessing sites that i used to 'check out' while i am back home.

The best and most reliable solution is to sign up for a paid VPN service provider and connect through them.

I am using www.accessvpn.com and they have servers in Singapore which is great because it has great speed to China. I am able to watch youtube without any lag.

They are great because they offer month to month plans too for users who needs short passes.
